What does organic chicken mean?
The conditions to be fulfilled in order a chicken to be characterized organic are explicitly referred to in regulations 834/2007 and 889/2008 of the EU. There are set all restrictions and conditions regarding lairaging and breeding, diet, methods of disease’s treatment etc.
About bioGReco
The history of BIOGRECO began in 2001 when three young people chose to live with their families in Lakonia, southern Greece. Stavros Argyropoulos and Babis Lyras, animal scienists and Meletis Giannakos, farmer, put a bet to place chicken in supermarket’s shelves as it used to be: genuine, original, full of taste, but also certified, safe and healthy.
Organic animal feed
BIOGRECO animal feed factory produces exclusively certified organic feed mixures .With a production capacity of 15,000 tons per year, covers the needs of BIOGRECO poultry farms, while supplying high quality feed mixtures, plenty of organic certified farms throughout Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Arab countries. By applying a fully automated production system, we produce mixtures for sheep and goats, cattle, poultry, pork etc.
